AI & Content Terms
Last Updated: July 3, 2026
These AI & Content Terms govern your use of the AI-assisted features of DiveConnect.ai — including text, image, and voice generation and any AI personas or assistants (collectively, "AI Features"). They are part of our Terms of Service and should be read with our Acceptable Use Policy.
1. Ownership of Output
As between you and DiveConnect, you own the content you generate with the AI Features ("Output"), subject to third-party rights and the providers' own terms. Because AI systems are probabilistic, Output may not be unique — other users may generate similar or identical content — and we make no promise that Output is original or that you can obtain exclusive rights in it.
2. Output Is Provided "As Is"
AI Output can be inaccurate, incomplete, or misleading, and may "hallucinate" facts. Output is provided "as is" without warranty. You are responsible for reviewing, editing, and verifying Output before you publish it or rely on it.
3. No Professional or Safety Advice
AI Output is not professional advice and must not be used as a substitute for it. In particular, Output is not medical advice, dive-safety or dive-planning guidance, legal advice, or financial advice. Diving carries inherent risks; decisions about diver fitness, safety, certification, equipment, and conditions must be made by qualified humans, not by AI.
4. You Are the Publisher
When you publish Output on your website, listings, communications, or elsewhere, you are the publisher and are responsible for it — including its accuracy and its compliance with law and third-party rights. Do not present Output as independent or verified fact without review.
5. AI Personas — Mandatory Disclosure
The Service may let you enable AI personas or assistants (branded characters that can answer questions or help visitors). If you use any AI persona:
- You must clearly and conspicuously disclose that the persona is an AI, not a real person.
- A persona must never be presented as a real, licensed, or named human instructor or staff member, and must never be shown as a bookable person or used to accept bookings as if it were a human.
- Personas must not give individualized medical, dive-safety, or other professional advice, and must direct users to qualified humans for those matters.
- Where we provide default AI-disclosure labels or notices, you must not remove, hide, or alter them.
These disclosure requirements protect divers and help you comply with consumer-protection and AI-transparency rules. Misrepresenting an AI persona as a human is a violation of these terms and our Acceptable Use Policy.
6. Prohibited Uses
You may not use the AI Features to generate content that violates our Acceptable Use Policy, to impersonate real people, to create deceptive endorsements or reviews, or to produce unlawful, infringing, or harmful content. You must also comply with the usage policies of the underlying AI providers.
7. AI Providers & Training
We use third-party AI providers to power the AI Features, including Anthropic (Claude) and OpenAI for text and speech, ElevenLabs for AI voice, and Replicate for image generation. The Anthropic API does not use your inputs or outputs to train its models; other providers process your content under their own terms. We do not use your content to train our own models.
8. Do Not Enter Customer Personal Data
Do not enter your customers' personal information into AI prompts. Content you submit to AI Features is sent to third-party providers to produce your Output, and prompts are not the appropriate place for personal data you hold about others. See our Privacy Policy and Data Processing Addendum.
9. Changes
We may update these AI & Content Terms from time to time. We will post the updated version here and revise the "Last Updated" date above.
